Premiere Bet Dedza Dynamos registered their first victory in the TNM Super League as they thump Mafco FC 3-nil at Dedza Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

A brace from Promise Kamwendo and an own goal by Ben Mbewe was enough to give Dedza, who have just clinched a sponsorship deal with Premiere Bet, maximum points.

Kamwendo drew first blood for the home side just 6 minutes into the game as he headed home a corner kick beautifully taken by Otchaya Okoti Otim.

The home side got their second in the 15th minute as Ben Mbewe scored into his own goal following an attack by Lameck Gamphani.

Kamwendo completed his brace 5 minutes before half time with yet another powerful header, connecting well a freekick taken by Frank Chikufenji.

The goal forced Mafco FC coach to make a double substitution replacing David Daudi and Mphatso Filimoni with Peter Kasonga and Stain Malata.

The second half saw both sides creating a number of scoring opportunities but the visitors failed to find a consolation as Dedza seamed to be contented with the three goals.

After the match, Promise Kamwendo was voted man of the match.

Elsewhere, a lone goal from the penalty spot by Zeliat Nkhoma was enough to give Kamuzu Barracks (KB) maximum points over Bangwe All Stars in a match played at Aubrey Dimba Stadium in Mchinji.

The win means that KB have now moved just two points behind league leaders Silver Strikers as they have now accumulated 11 points from five games.

Bangwe on the other hand, remain third from the bottom with two points from the same number of games.

In Lilongwe, the match betwee Civil Service United and FOMO FC ended 1-nil in favour of Civil.

Emmanuel Saviel scored the only goal of the match with a brilliant header after receiving a cross from Festus Duwe in the 31st minute.

In Karonga, Karonga United and Creck Sporting shared the spoils as they settled for a 1-all draw with George Chaomba scoring for the visitors and Saulos Moyo equalising for the home side.

Silver Strikers remain top on the log table with 13 points while rookies Baka City, remain bottom of the table with 1 point after playing five games.
